01 Overview
MyJobDaddy ("we," "our," or "us") operates myjobdaddy.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our AI-powered resume tailoring service.
We take your privacy seriously. We are not in the business of selling personal data — we're in the business of helping you get hired. This policy is written in plain language on purpose.
The short version: We use your resume and job description only to generate your documents. We don't store them permanently, sell them, or use them to train AI models. Your email is used only for delivery and support.
02 Data We Collect
We collect only what we need to provide the service. This includes:
- Resume content — the text or file you upload for tailoring.
- Job description — the role description you paste or upload.
- Email address — collected at checkout for document delivery and order records.
- Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Usage data — anonymized analytics (page views, feature usage) collected via Google Analytics.
- Browser/device data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) retained briefly for security and performance.
- Free-tool contact details — if you submit your name, email, company, or role to one of our free tools or guides, we keep those details, along with your responses, so we may follow up with you directly. This information is never sold, added to a mailing list, or used for automated marketing.
03 How We Use Your Data
Your data is used for these purposes only:
- Generating your tailored resume, cover letter, and any additional documents you requested.
- Delivering your completed files to your email address.
- Processing and confirming your payment.
- Responding to support requests you initiate.
- Improving overall platform performance using aggregated, anonymized analytics.
We do not use your resume or job description to train AI models. Your career data is processed in-session to generate your documents and is not retained for model improvement or any secondary purpose.
04 Data Storage & Retention
One-time ($29) and Unlimited ($99/mo) users: Resume and job description content processed through our AI pipeline is not stored permanently. This data exists only for the duration of your session and the immediate document generation process. Once your session expires (typically within 2 hours), this content is cleared from memory and not retained.
Elite ($249/mo) subscribers: Certain features require persistent storage to deliver their full value. See Section 05 below for details on exactly what is stored and how to delete it.
Your email address and order or subscription records are retained for up to 2 years for legal compliance, dispute resolution, and to resend documents if needed.
Server logs (IP addresses, access times) are retained for up to 90 days for security monitoring, then automatically deleted.
05 Subscriber Account Data
Elite subscribers have access to features that generate and store persistent professional documents tied to their account. This is intentional — the value of these features depends on that data being available every time you log in. Here is exactly what is stored:
- Professional Identity Brief — A career positioning document generated from your resume and answers to optional prompts about your leadership style, strengths, and goals. Stored against your email address so it loads automatically on login.
- Skills Assessment & Gap Context — The results of your skills fit assessment for a specific job description, including your written responses to gap clarification questions. Stored so your gap context is automatically applied to your next resume generation without re-running the assessment. Also includes a short snapshot (first 500 characters) of the job description you ran the assessment against, so you can identify which role it was for.
- Subscription records — Your email, Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan type, and status. Retained while your subscription is active and for up to 2 years after cancellation for legal and billing records.
What happens when your subscription ends: Your Identity Brief, Skills Assessment results, and gap context are retained in our database after cancellation. This is intentional — if you resubscribe, your data is right where you left it. This data does not expire automatically. You can request permanent deletion at any time — see Section 09 below.
None of this data is sold, shared with third parties for commercial purposes, or used to train AI models. It exists solely to power your account features.
06 Third Parties
We work with a small number of trusted service providers to operate the platform:
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI processing for document generation. Inputs are transmitted per their API terms; we do not authorize use of your data for model training.
- Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics — Anonymized usage analytics. No personally identifiable resume data is sent to Google.
- Render / Vercel / AWS — Hosting and infrastructure. Covered by enterprise data processing agreements.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.
07 Payments
All payment transactions are handled by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. MyJobDaddy never receives, stores, or has access to your full credit card number, CVV, or banking details.
Your email address is shared with Stripe solely for the purpose of creating a checkout session and sending a payment receipt.
08 Cookies & Analytics
We use a small number of cookies and tracking technologies:
- Session cookies — Necessary for the tool to function (e.g., keeping your upload in place during checkout). Deleted when you close your browser.
- Google Analytics (gtag.js) — Collects anonymized data about how visitors use the site (pages visited, button clicks, session duration). This data does not include your resume content or personal identity.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect core functionality.
09 Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion — Request that we delete your email and order records.
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Portability — Request your data in a portable format.
- Opt-out — Opt out of any future marketing communications (we send very few).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
10 Requesting Data Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Here is exactly how to do it:
- Delete your Identity Brief — Email [email protected] with the subject line "Delete Identity Brief" and the email address on your account. We will permanently delete it within 5 business days and confirm by reply.
- Delete your Skills Assessment & gap context — Email [email protected] with the subject line "Delete Skills Assessment" and the email address on your account. We will permanently delete it within 5 business days and confirm by reply.
- Delete all account data — Email [email protected] with the subject line "Delete All My Data" and the email address on your account. This will permanently remove your email address, subscription records, Identity Brief, Skills Assessment, and all associated data from our database. Note: this cannot be undone and will terminate active subscription access. We will confirm deletion within 5 business days.
- Cancel your subscription only — Cancellation through Stripe ends billing but does not delete your data. If you want data deleted, you must make a separate deletion request as described above.

11 Children's Privacy
MyJobDaddy is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
12 Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll provide notice on our homepage or via email if we have your address on file.
Continued use of MyJobDaddy after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
